October Half-Term in Skegness and Ingoldmells: Halloween 2026 and Coastal Breaks

The Grange Haven lounge with seating and patio doors

A few days by the coast can be a lovely way to spend October half-term: fresh air, time together and somewhere comfortable to come back to after a busy day. You don’t have to fill every hour. Choose one main outing, leave room for the weather and enjoy having your own holiday-home base.

We’re Sam and Selina at Comfy Accommodations. Our homes in Skegness and Ingoldmells give you a choice of coastal bases, whether you want to plan Halloween entertainment or a quieter autumn escape.

Fear Island 2026: the confirmed dates

Fantasy Island’s official programme lists Fear Island on 17–18 October, 21–25 October and 28 October–1 November 2026. It also lists fireworks on 24 and 31 October, with later scare-maze opening on those two Saturdays.

Some attractions have a high scare factor, and several have a 12+ advisory age. Read the individual attraction guidance, accessibility information and ticket inclusions before booking. A younger child’s idea of Halloween fun can be very different from a teenager’s.

Use the official Fear Island 2026 page to check the full programme, current prices and entry conditions. Event tickets are separate from your accommodation. Opening arrangements may change, so confirm them again close to your visit.

Build a coastal break around your family

If you’re heading out for evening entertainment, keep the earlier part of the day easy. Breakfast at your holiday home and an unhurried outing can make more sense than trying to squeeze in a full day of activities before a late finish.

For another day, explore the ideas in our Skegness and Ingoldmells things-to-do guide. Check each attraction’s seasonal opening dates rather than assuming summer hours continue through October. The Visit Lincolnshire Skegness events calendar is another useful place to look for plans that match your stay.

Keep a simple wet-weather plan

Pack layers and waterproofs, and leave space in the itinerary for a slower day if the weather turns. Decide on an indoor option before you arrive, check whether you need timed tickets and avoid committing to several non-refundable activities for the same day.

Back at your holiday home, you can enjoy a meal together and settle in for the evening. Bedding and towels are included at our properties, so you have fewer bulky things to pack. Bring any personal beach or activity kit you need.

Choose the right holiday home

You can compare Summer Dreams in Skegness, Golden Sands, Comfy Sands and The Grange Haven in Ingoldmells. Read the current sleeping arrangements and parking details for the home you choose.

Travelling with a dog? Ask us about your specific property and dates before booking. Pet arrangements vary by home and season. Park facilities, entertainment and passes also vary; an accommodation booking does not automatically include access to every facility nearby.

Our holiday-home comparison guide can help you narrow the choice. Then check availability for your dates, or get in touch if you would like help choosing.

Event dates checked on 2 October 2026 against Fantasy Island’s official programme. Confirm attraction opening, tickets and suitability before travelling.
