Planning a festive break in Birmingham? A visit to the Frankfurt Christmas Market is a lovely way to spend an afternoon browsing gifts, warming up with something to eat and enjoying the city’s Christmas atmosphere. Here is what to know before you choose your dates.
Birmingham Christmas Market 2026 dates
The 2026 market runs from Thursday 5 November to Thursday 24 December, around Victoria Square and New Street. Published opening times are Monday–Thursday 11am–9pm, Friday 11am–9.30pm, Saturday 10am–9.30pm and Sunday 10am–9pm. On Remembrance Sunday, 8 November, it opens at 1pm.
Check the official market visitor information before travelling for any updates.
Make the most of your visit
Allow time to browse rather than treating the market as a quick stop. You can combine it with shopping in the city centre, a meal out or a walk along Birmingham’s canals. If you are visiting with children, agree a meeting point and consider going earlier in the day when navigating the stalls may be easier.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring a warm, waterproof layer: much of your visit will be outdoors. Check your return train or parking arrangements in advance, particularly if you plan to stay into the evening.
A comfortable base for your Birmingham break
Our Birmingham Cube View apartment gives you a place to unwind after exploring the city. Have a look at the photographs, facilities and available dates to decide whether it suits your party. For the route to the market, check a current map from the property rather than relying on a fixed walking-time estimate.
Travelling for a special occasion or adding a few extra nights? Tell Sam and Selina what you have in mind and we can help you choose your stay. Availability and prices depend on your dates.
